We are currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Medicine - Surgery team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our surgical patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care to our patients. To be successful in this role, you must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and be a licensed Pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts. Additionally, experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred.   1. Dispense and compound medications accurately and efficiently for surgical patients.
  2. Conduct medication reconciliation and review for patients admitted to the hospital.
  3. Monitor medication therapy for efficacy, safety, and appropriateness.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  5. Provide drug information and education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide clinical recommendations for medication management.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to medication use.
  8. Create and maintain patient records and documentation related to medication therapy.
  9. Stay current with developments in the field of pharmacy and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  11. Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
  12. Maintain inventory and order medications as needed.
  13. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient safety protocols.
  14. Foster a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and other healthcare team members.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  16. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  17. Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals regarding medication use and management.
  18. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  19. Uphold the hospital's mission and values in daily work activities.
  20. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited College Of Pharmacy.

  • Current State License To Practice Pharmacy In Massachusetts.

  • Completion Of A Post-Graduate Residency In Clinical Pharmacy Or Equivalent Experience In The Field Of Medicine-Surgery.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Medications Commonly Used In Surgery, Including Anesthetics, Pain Management, And Antibiotics.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Multidisciplinary Healthcare Teams And Provide Patient Education On Medication Management.
