1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and quality control measures.
2. Maintain a high level of proficiency and knowledge in laboratory testing and instrumentation.
3. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide accurate and timely test results for patient care.
5. Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues or discrepancies in laboratory results.
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory procedures and results.
7. Stay up-to-date on current laboratory techniques, procedures, and regulations through continued education and training.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
9. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
10. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and fellow laboratory staff.
11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines, at all times.
13. Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission and values in all job duties and interactions.
14. Mentor and train new laboratory staff as needed.
15. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and laboratory results.
16. Take an active role in promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
17. Participate in departmental and hospital meetings and committees as required.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management.
