- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently, following established protocols and quality control measures.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency and knowledge in laboratory testing and instrumentation.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide accurate and timely test results for patient care.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues or discrepancies in laboratory results.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory procedures and results.
- Stay up-to-date on current laboratory techniques, procedures, and regulations through continued education and training.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and fellow laboratory staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines, at all times.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission and values in all job duties and interactions.
- Mentor and train new laboratory staff as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and laboratory results.
- Take an active role in promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Participate in departmental and hospital meetings and committees as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Recognized Agency.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Excellent Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures, Equipment, And Quality Control Measures.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Report Test Results.
