Job Description

The Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an experienced and dedicated Business Operations Manager to join our Procedural Services team. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, the Business Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to maximize operational efficiency and enhance the patient experience. The ideal candidate will have a record of success in business management, healthcare operations, and/or procedural services, and possess the knowledge, skills, and commitment to excellence necessary to ensure the highest standards of care. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about ensuring operational excellence and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to maximize operational efficiency and enhance the patient experience.
  2. Monitor and evaluate operational performance and patient satisfaction metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  4. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of procedural services, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
  5. Create and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, staff, and other stakeholders.
  6. Monitor and evaluate staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage and skill levels.
  7. Develop and implement training and educational programs for staff.
  8. Analyze data and develop reports for management review.
  9. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and customer service.
