- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment, including but not limited to, patient monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and anesthesia machines.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all hospital and industry safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with other members of the Biomedical Engineering team to ensure timely and effective equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Stay informed about new technology and equipment updates in the healthcare industry.
- Assist in the installation and testing of new medical equipment.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, vendors, and manufacturers regarding equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies and parts for equipment maintenance.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to hospital staff and patients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and contribute to process improvements within the Biomedical Engineering department.
Associate's Degree In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Biomedical Equipment Technician.
Certification As A Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) From The Association For The Advancement Of Medical Instrumentation (Aami).
Proficiency In Troubleshooting, Repairing, And Maintaining A Wide Range Of Medical Equipment.
Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Standards For Medical Equipment, Including Hipaa And Osha.
