- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs and service reports.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify equipment needs and provide recommendations for new or replacement equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices in biomedical technology to continuously improve equipment maintenance and repair processes.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, coordinating with vendors for timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
- Comply with all hospital and industry safety standards and regulations while performing equipment maintenance and repair.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff to provide updates on equipment status and respond promptly to urgent requests.
- Train and mentor junior biomedical equipment technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules to provide emergency repair services outside of regular working hours.
- Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and vendors to schedule and coordinate installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the biomedical equipment team.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all work activities.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Biomedical Equipment In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Medical Equipment Technology, Including Diagnostic, Therapeutic, And Imaging Equipment.
Knowledge Of Safety Standards And Regulations For Handling And Maintaining Biomedical Equipment.
Excellent Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
