We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital as the Associate Director of Development, Prospect Management and Research.   1. Develop and implement strategies for identifying and cultivating potential donors.
  2. Conduct thorough prospect research to identify individuals and organizations with the capacity and interest to support the hospital's mission.
  3. Work closely with the fundraising team to create targeted cultivation and solicitation plans for key prospects.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  5. Plan and execute donor recognition and stewardship activities to ensure continued support and engagement.
  6. Utilize fundraising software and databases to track and manage prospect information and interactions.
  7. Collaborate with hospital leadership to align fundraising efforts with the hospital's strategic goals.
  8. Provide regular updates and reports on prospect pipeline and progress towards fundraising goals.
  9. Stay informed on industry best practices and trends in development and prospect research.
  10. Participate in departmental and hospital-wide meetings and events as a representative of the development team.
  11. Train and supervise development staff on prospect management and research techniques.
  12. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
  13. Represent the hospital and its mission in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Development or hospital leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Business, Nonprofit Management, Or Fundraising.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Development, Prospect Management, And Research.

  • Strong Understanding Of Fundraising Principles And Strategies, Particularly In Major Gifts And Prospect Research.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Strong Relationships With Donors, Colleagues, And Organization Leaders.

  • Experience Working In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting, With A Strong Knowledge Of The Healthcare Landscape In Massachusetts And The Surrounding Region.
