Job Description

The Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an exceptional and experienced Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of success in philanthropy, and possess the ability to think strategically while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with foundations, corporations, and other external stakeholders to ensure the organization's long-term success.The successful candidate will have a proven record of success in securing major gifts from foundations and corporations, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively and building relationships. Additionally, the Assistant Director must have a deep understanding of the philanthropic and corporate landscape, and the ability to craft compelling messages and strategies to drive engagement. We are looking for an experienced and creative professional who is passionate about philanthropy and the mission of Massachusetts General Hospital.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies for cultivating and managing relationships with foundations, corporations, and other external stakeholders.
  2. Secure major gifts from foundations and corporations.
  3. Lead and manage the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns.
  4. Develop compelling messages and strategies to drive engagement with external stakeholders.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers within foundations and corporations.
  6. Manage and track progress of all philanthropic activities.
  7. Research and identify new sources of funding.
  8. Develop and manage budgets and timelines for fundraising initiatives.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the success of all fundraising activities.
  10. Manage and coordinate all donor recognition activities.
