
Underwriter - Flood Insurance
Are you an experienced Underwriter with a passion for Flood Insurance? Marsh & McLennan Companies is looking for a detail-oriented and customer service-focused Underwriter to join our team in a full-time role. In this position, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise to identify, assess, and manage risks for our clients.The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and five or more years of underwriting experience in the Flood Insurance industry. Additionally, you must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. A successful Underwriter will also have the ability to think analytically, remain current with industry trends, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requests for Flood Insurance and determine the appropriate coverage and premiums.
- Utilize risk assessment and underwriting principles to determine the potential risk for each policy.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Flood Insurance policies and regulations.
- Review applications and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process customer requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide customer service support to clients, including answering inquiries and resolving any issues.
- Remain current with industry trends and developments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all underwriting activities.
- Analyze claims data and reports to assess risks associated with Flood Insurance policies.
