Job Description

Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Senior Principal Compensation Consultant to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of compensation practices and methodologies, and an ability to develop and implement creative solutions to complex business challenges.The Senior Principal Compensation Consultant will be responsible for providing strategic counsel to MMC's internal and external clients on all aspects of compensation, including developing and implementing compensation strategies, policies, and programs. This professional must have outstanding communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients at all levels of the organization.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a compensation-related role. A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is preferred. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic counsel to MMC's internal and external clients on all aspects of compensation, including developing and implementing compensation strategies, policies, and programs.
  2. Work effectively with clients at all levels of the organization.
  3. Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  4. Provide advice and counsel on compensation-related matters.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in compensation.
  6. Assist with the design and implementation of compensation programs and processes.
  7. Analyze and evaluate existing compensation programs and recommend changes as needed.
  8. Develop job descriptions and job evaluation systems.
  9. Prepare and interpret reports, surveys, and other data related to compensation.
  10. Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
