If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Marsh & McLennan Companies is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Analyst to join our Tax Operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting our global indirect tax compliance and reporting processes. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.   1. Perform research and analysis on indirect tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk for the company.
  2. Prepare and file indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, value-added tax, and goods and services tax.
  3. Review and reconcile tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  4. Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate indirect tax reporting and compliance.
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline tax operations.
  7. Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  8. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to address any indirect tax related inquiries.
  9. Maintain organized and accurate records of all indirect tax filings and documentation.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in indirect tax to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor junior members of the tax operations team.
  12. Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and accurate indirect tax reporting.
  13. Communicate any potential risks or issues to senior management and provide recommendations for resolution.
  14. Continuously monitor and assess indirect tax processes and procedures for compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  15. Take on ad-hoc projects and assignments related to indirect tax as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Indirect Tax, Preferably In A Corporate Or Public Accounting Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Tax Laws And Regulations Related To Sales And Use Tax, Value-Added Tax, And Other Indirect Taxes.

  • Experience With Tax Compliance And Reporting Processes, Including Data Analysis And Reconciliation.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Tax Issues.
