
Forensic Accountant
At Marsh & McLennan Companies, we are currently seeking a highly qualified Forensic Accountant to join our team. The Forensic Accountant role requires an individual with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. In addition to having excellent knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.This individual should bring a combination of exceptional qualifications, including a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, as well as public accounting experience, are also preferred. Above all, the successful candidate must possess an outstanding commitment to professional collaboration and integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct investigations of financial irregularities, such as fraud or embezzlement.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Review and analyze accounting documents, such as contracts, invoices, purchase orders, and financial statements.
- Prepare and present reports and findings from investigations to management and other stakeholders.
- Provide advice and guidance to management on compliance and financial matters.
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and ensure that the organization is in compliance with all regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies and auditors.
- Provide training and support to other accounting team members.
- Prepare and review audit reports.
