Tobacco Treatment Specialist

MaineHealth is seeking an experienced, compassionate and motivated Tobacco Treatment Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Tobacco Treatment Specialist will provide cessation services to patients and families in need of assistance with quitting tobacco. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, a strong commitment to health promotion, and a desire to work with diverse populations. The Tobacco Treatment Specialist will be responsible for providing cessation services and support to patients, families, and community members.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health, or related field• At least two years of experience in tobacco treatment and prevention• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of tobacco treatment and prevention• Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations• Ability to work with a diverse population• Strong oral and written communication skills• Ability to remain organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applicationsThis position is an amazing opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about health promotion and has a commitment to providing quality services to clients.
