  1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary tools, instruments, and supplies.
  2. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper sterilization techniques and protocols.
  3. Prepare and set up surgical equipment and instruments prior to procedures.
  4. Anticipate and proactively address the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
  5. Monitor and track surgical supplies and equipment to ensure availability and proper functioning.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
  7. Adhere to all safety standards and protocols to prevent potential risks and hazards during surgical procedures.
  8. Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and patient information.
  9. Stay current with advancements and updates in surgical technology and techniques.
  10. Provide support and assistance to patients before and after surgical procedures.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all times.
  13. Attend trainings and conferences as required to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technologist Program: The Candidate Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Program In Surgical Technology, Which Includes Both Classroom Instruction And Clinical Experience.

  • Certification As A Surgical Technologist: The Candidate Must Be Certified By The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa) As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Or Tech In Surgery - Certified (Ts-C).

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Be Familiar With The Equipment And Instruments Used In General Surgery.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Effective Communication Skills To Work With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Surgical Environment. They Must Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team And Follow Instructions Accurately.

  • Physical Stamina And Dexterity: The Job Of A Surgical Technologist Involves Standing For Long Periods, Lifting And Positioning Patients, And Handling Delicate Surgical Instruments. The Candidate Must Have Physical Stamina And Dexterity To Perform These Tasks Efficiently.
