  1. Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients in the Women's Health department.
  2. Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and provide pre-operative instructions.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure all necessary preparations are in place for each surgery.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of scheduled procedures, patient information, and any changes or updates.
  5. Utilize scheduling software and other tools to efficiently manage and organize surgical appointments.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  8. Work closely with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain pre-authorization for procedures.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  10. Continuously monitor and improve scheduling processes to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  11. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing paperwork.
  12. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and updates in surgical scheduling and women's health.
  13. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to patient care.
  14. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Surgical Scheduling: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Surgical Scheduling, Preferably Within Women's Health.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential In Order To Accurately Schedule Surgeries And Communicate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Attention To Detail: Surgical Scheduling Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail In Order To Ensure That All Necessary Information And Paperwork Is Completed Accurately And On Time.

  • Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial In This Role. This Includes Being Able To Provide Clear And Concise Information, As Well As Being Able To Handle Difficult Or Sensitive Conversations.

  • Understanding Of Insurance And Billing Processes: As A Surgical Scheduler, It Is Important To Have A Basic Understanding Of Insurance And Billing Processes In Order To Accurately Document And Code Procedures And Ensure Proper Reimbursement For The Hospital.
