Special Education Technician

1. Provide individualized academic and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs.
2. Collaborate with a team of educators to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students.
3. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and their families.
4. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and interventions.
5. Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other team members regarding student needs and progress.
6. Use a variety of instructional techniques and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
7. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure academic and behavioral success.
8. Work closely with special education teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
9. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
10. Attend professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.
11. Collaborate with community resources and outside agencies to provide additional support for students and families.
12. Act as an advocate for students with special needs, ensuring their individual needs are met.
13. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and compassion while working with students.
14. Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations regarding special education.
