
Special Education Tech III—Developmental Disorders

In this role, you will provide support and instruction to students with developmental disorders, helping them reach their full potential. - Provide direct support and instruction to students with developmental disorders in a caring and patient manner.
- Collaborate with special education teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Utilize knowledge of special education practices and techniques to assist students in achieving their academic and developmental goals.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with developmental disorders.
- Monitor and record student progress, behaviors, and achievements to inform educational plans and interventions.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of special education to continuously improve instructional practices.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to support the overall success of students.
- Collaborate with school administration and community resources to provide a comprehensive support system for students with developmental disorders.
- Serve as a positive role model for students and adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions and activities.
Bachelor's Degree In Special Education Or A Related Field, Such As Psychology Or Child Development.
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Developmental Disorders, Preferably In A School Or Clinical Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Developmental Disorders, Including But Not Limited To Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, And Intellectual Disabilities.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Special Education Teachers, Therapists, And Parents/Caregivers.
Familiarity With Individualized Education Plans (Ieps) And Experience Implementing Accommodations And Modifications To Support Students With Developmental Disorders In Academic And Social Settings.
