Job Description

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient appointments, making a positive impact on their overall healthcare experience.   1. Manage and maintain appointment schedules for multiple healthcare facilities and departments within Mainehealth.
  2. Respond to patient inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Coordinate with various healthcare providers to ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize patient wait times.
  4. Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and complete scheduling of appointments.
  5. Monitor and update patient records to reflect appointment changes or cancellations.
  6. Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure that appointments are scheduled in a manner that maximizes productivity and minimizes disruptions to patient care.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the Central Scheduling team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  8. Continuously review and optimize scheduling processes to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Keep accurate records and generate reports on appointment scheduling activities as needed.
  12. Stay up-to-date on healthcare policies, procedures, and technology to ensure accurate and efficient appointment scheduling.
  13. Assist in training new team members and provide support to colleagues when needed.
  14. Attend regular team meetings and provide input on ways to improve scheduling processes and patient experience.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Mainehealth and its mission to provide high-quality healthcare services.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: A Scheduler At Mainehealth Must Possess Excellent Organizational Skills To Effectively Manage And Coordinate Schedules For Multiple Departments And Healthcare Professionals.
