  1. Assist in daily operations of the radiology department, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and preparing equipment for procedures.
  2. Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring their comfort, answering any questions, and addressing any concerns.
  3. Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly on the scanner.
  4. Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  5. Administer contrast media as directed by the radiologist and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  6. Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure the highest quality images and patient safety.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and assist radiologists with procedures as needed.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology department, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in radiology technology and procedures through continuing education and training.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiography Or Related Field: Candidates For A Radiology Assistant - Ct Position At Mainehealth Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Radiography, Radiologic Technology, Or Medical Imaging.

  • Arrt Certification: Mainehealth Requires All Radiology Assistant - Ct Candidates To Hold Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt). This Ensures That Candidates Have Met National Standards For Competency In Radiography.

  • Experience With Ct Technology: Ideal Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working With Ct Technology. This Includes Knowledge Of Ct Equipment, Protocols, And Safety Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Radiology Assistant - Ct, You Will Work Closely With Patients, Radiologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask: Radiology Assistants - Ct Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment. They May Be Responsible For Multiple Patients And Procedures At Once, So The Ability To Prioritize And Stay Organized Is Crucial.
