- Assist in daily operations of the radiology department, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and preparing equipment for procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring their comfort, answering any questions, and addressing any concerns.
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly on the scanner.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Administer contrast media as directed by the radiologist and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure the highest quality images and patient safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and assist radiologists with procedures as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology department, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in radiology technology and procedures through continuing education and training.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiography Or Related Field: Candidates For A Radiology Assistant - Ct Position At Mainehealth Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Radiography, Radiologic Technology, Or Medical Imaging.
Arrt Certification: Mainehealth Requires All Radiology Assistant - Ct Candidates To Hold Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt). This Ensures That Candidates Have Met National Standards For Competency In Radiography.
Experience With Ct Technology: Ideal Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working With Ct Technology. This Includes Knowledge Of Ct Equipment, Protocols, And Safety Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Radiology Assistant - Ct, You Will Work Closely With Patients, Radiologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
