  1. Perform vascular surgeries, including but not limited to bypass procedures, angioplasty, and endovascular interventions, with a high level of skill and expertise.
  2. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to all vascular surgery patients, taking into consideration their unique needs and concerns.
  3. Stay up-to-date with current advances and developments in the field of vascular surgery and incorporate them into practice as appropriate.
  4. Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and post-operative care.
  6. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient cases, provide input, and coordinate care.
  7. Adhere to all medical and ethical standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures, in order to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  9. Mentor and supervise medical residents and fellows in the field of vascular surgery, as well as participate in medical education and training programs.
  10. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to vascular surgery, in order to continually improve patient outcomes and advance the field.
  11. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective use of resources, as well as compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Completed A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From A Reputable Medical School.

  • Board Certification In Vascular Surgery: A Physician Must Be Board Certified In Vascular Surgery By The American Board Of Surgery Or The American Board Of Thoracic Surgery.

  • Active State Medical License: The Candidate Must Have A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of Maine.

  • Fellowship Training In Vascular Surgery: Completion Of An Accredited Fellowship Program In Vascular Surgery Is Highly Preferred. This Specialized Training Equips Surgeons With The Skills And Knowledge Needed To Diagnose And Treat Complex Vascular Conditions.

  • Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Vascular Surgeon Is Required For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Track Record Of Successful Surgeries And Patient Outcomes.
