  6. Stay current on the latest research and developments in sports medicine to continually enhance your expertise and provide the best care possible.

Job Qualifications

  • Medical Degree: Candidates For A Physician - Sports Medicine Job At Mainehealth Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: To Be Considered For The Position, Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Sports Medicine By The American Board Of Medical Specialties (Abms) Or The American Osteopathic Association (Aoa).

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: Candidates Must Have Completed A Residency Program In Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Or Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation, As Well As A Fellowship In Sports Medicine.

  • State Medical License: A Valid Medical License From The State Of Maine Is Required For This Position. Candidates Must Also Be Eligible For Medical Licensure In Other States Where Mainehealth Has Locations.

  • Experience In Sports Medicine: Ideal Candidates Will Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Practicing Sports Medicine, With A Strong Background In Treating Athletes And Sports-Related Injuries. Experience Working With Professional Or Collegiate Sports Teams Is Also Preferred.
