Job Description

MaineHealth is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physician to join our Primary Care team.   1. Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose and treat various health conditions.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical history.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  5. Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and their families to provide education and information about their health conditions and treatment options.
  6. Stay current with advancements and developments in the medical field, including new treatments, medications, and procedures.
  7. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  9. Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, providing compassionate and empathetic care to promote their overall well-being.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to community health and wellness by actively participating in outreach programs and initiatives.
  11. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
  12. Continuously evaluate and assess patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
  13. Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure efficient and effective operations of the primary care department.
  14. Attend and participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  15. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: Candidates Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Physicians Must Be Board Certified Or Eligible For Certification In Their Primary Care Specialty By The American Board Of Medical Specialties Or The American Osteopathic Association.

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Medical License To Practice In The State Of Maine.

  • Clinical Experience: Prior Experience In Primary Care, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic Setting, Is Required.

  • Commitment To Patient Care: Candidates Must Demonstrate A Strong Commitment To Providing High-Quality, Compassionate Care To Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds.
