Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Physician-Neurologist At Mainehealth Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board-Certified In Neurology By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Neurology And Psychiatry (Aobnp).

  • State License: All Physicians At Mainehealth Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted License To Practice Medicine In The State Of Maine.

  • Fellowship Training: A Fellowship In Neurology Is Required, Which Typically Lasts 1-2 Years And Provides Specialized Training In A Specific Area Of Neurology, Such As Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Or Neurocritical Care.

  • Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Practicing Neurologist, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Setting. Experience In Clinical Research Or Teaching May Also Be Preferred.
