Medical Degree: A Physician Specializing In Internal Medicine Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Internal Medicine By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Internal Medicine (Aobim).
State Medical License: All Physicians Practicing In Maine Must Hold A License From The Maine Board Of Licensure In Medicine.
Residency Training: Completion Of A Three-Year Internal Medicine Residency Program Is Required For This Position. Preference May Be Given To Candidates Who Have Completed Their Residency Training At A Reputable Institution.
Relevant Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Internal Medicine, With A Focus On Primary Care And Preventive Medicine. Experience In A Hospital Or Clinic Setting Is Preferred.
