As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to hospitalized patients and ensuring their well-being.   1. Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to hospitalized patients at one of our hospitals in Maine.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough physical examinations and accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  4. Monitor and manage patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide education and support regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  7. Adhere to established protocols and clinical guidelines to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  8. Stay up-to-date with developments and advancements in the medical field and incorporate new techniques and treatments into practice.
  9. Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a seamless healthcare experience for patients.
  10. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, and maintain a patient-centered approach to care.
  11. Uphold and promote the values of excellence and empathy in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of the medical profession, including maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting patients' rights.
  13. Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  14. Serve as a mentor and resource for medical students and residents, and contribute to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve personal performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality and efficient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Medical School

  • Completed Residency Training In Internal Medicine Or Family Medicine

  • Board Certification Or Eligibility In Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Or Hospital Medicine

  • Active And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of Maine

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Experience In Managing Acute And Chronic Medical Conditions In A Hospital Setting.
