  1. Provide high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
  2. Conduct thorough medical examinations and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  3. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in children.
  4. Monitor and track patients' growth and development.
  5. Educate patients and their families on preventive care and healthy lifestyle habits.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and ensure continuity of care.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  9. Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.
  11. Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in pediatric medicine.
  12. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for colleagues and staff.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  14. Work collaboratively with other departments and healthcare facilities within the Mainehealth system.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And License: A Candidate Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree And Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Of Maine.

  • Residency In Pediatrics: A Candidate Must Have Completed An Accredited Residency Program In Pediatrics And Be Board Certified Or Eligible For Certification By The American Board Of Pediatrics.

  • Experience Working With Children: Prior Experience Working With Children In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Private Practice, Is Preferred. This Could Include Rotations During Medical School Or Previous Employment As A Pediatrician.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Medicine: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pediatric Medicine, Including Common Illnesses And Conditions, Developmental Milestones, And Appropriate Treatment Options.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Pediatrician, It Is Important To Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Both Young Patients And Their Parents Or Guardians. A Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Build Trust And Rapport With Families.
