  1. Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in accordance with best practices and standards set by MaineHealth.
  2. Conduct thorough and accurate medical assessments, examinations, and diagnoses for pediatric patients.
  3. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for pediatric patients, taking into consideration their unique needs and medical histories.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for pediatric patients.
  5. Educate and counsel patients and their families on preventive care, health promotion, and proper management of chronic conditions.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  7. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  8. Stay current on the latest research, technologies, and developments in pediatric medicine to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and protocols for pediatric care.
  10. Display professionalism and maintain a positive attitude while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  12. Attend and actively participate in meetings, trainings, and continuing education programs as required.
  13. Maintain a thorough understanding of MaineHealth's mission, values, and goals and work towards fulfilling them in all aspects of the job.
  14. Collaborate with community organizations and participate in outreach programs to promote pediatric health and well-being in the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Successful Candidate For A Pediatrician Job At Mainehealth Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Residency Training: A Minimum Of Three Years Of Residency Training In Pediatrics Is Required For This Position.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified Or Eligible For Certification By The American Board Of Pediatrics.

  • State Licensure: A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of Maine Is Required For This Role.

  • Pediatric Experience: Prior Experience Working With Children, Preferably In A Clinical Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Position.
