- Greet and welcome patients and their families to the Cancer Care department with a warm and compassionate demeanor.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries and requests from patients and their families, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule appointments and assist patients with any necessary paperwork or forms.
- Effectively communicate with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to provide necessary information and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.

Knowledge Of Cancer Care: A Patient Service Representative For Cancer Care At Mainehealth Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Various Types Of Cancer, Common Treatments, And Resources Available For Patients. This Knowledge Will Help Them Better Assist Patients And Answer Any Questions They May Have.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Front Desk Representative, Strong Communication Skills Are Essential. The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Medical Staff Is Crucial In Ensuring A Positive Experience For All Parties Involved.
Customer Service Experience: Previous Experience In A Customer Service Role Is Highly Desirable For This Position. Patient Service Representatives Must Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Empathy And Professionalism While Maintaining A Positive Attitude.
