  1. Provide support to medical professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  2. Ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the surgical department.
  3. Assist with preparing operating rooms for surgeries and procedures.
  4. Maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment in the operating room.
  5. Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
  6. Transport patients to and from operating rooms.
  7. Assist with positioning patients for surgeries.
  8. Monitor and maintain patient safety and comfort during surgeries.
  9. Communicate effectively with medical team members to ensure proper coordination and delivery of patient care.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  11. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  12. Continuously strive to improve processes and contribute to the overall success of the surgical department.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  15. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Candidate For An Operating Room Assistant Position At Mainehealth Should Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Certification: Mainehealth May Require Candidates To Have A Cst Certification, Which Can Be Obtained Through An Accredited Program.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures: An Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Surgical Procedures And Techniques, As Well As Knowledge Of Surgical Instruments And Equipment.
