Job Description

MaineHealth is seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of a vibrant patient care team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. The Medical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist role is a unique position that combines medical lab assistant duties, such as preparing specimens for testing and performing basic lab tests, with phlebotomy duties, such as blood collection, specimen handling, and laboratory processing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and a knowledge of medical terminology.To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED, a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification, and at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, a valid driver’s license is required.
