  1. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring all tasks and duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Develop and implement department policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Train, mentor, and supervise a team of sterile processing technicians to ensure high-quality work and adherence to protocols.
  4. Act as a liaison between the Sterile Processing Department and other departments within the organization, promoting open communication and collaboration.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment, ordering new items as needed and ensuring proper storage and rotation.
  6. Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained.
  7. Develop and maintain a schedule for routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices, implementing new techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and safety in the department.
  9. Collaborate with infection control and risk management teams to ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
  10. Prepare and present reports on department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  11. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and maintain a positive and supportive work environment for all team members.
  12. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies, including OSHA and Joint Commission standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Sterile Processing, Preferably In A Leadership Or Management Role.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Sterile Processing, Including Aami, Cdc, And Joint Commission Guidelines.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • Certification In Sterile Processing, Such As Crcst Or Cspdt, Is Preferred.
