- Lead and supervise a team of medical assistants to ensure they are providing high-quality patient care.
- Train and mentor new medical assistants on proper procedures and protocols.
- Coordinate and schedule daily tasks and assignments for the medical assistant team.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of medical assistants, providing feedback and addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Utilize electronic medical records and other computer systems to input and retrieve patient information.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and protocols in the healthcare industry.
- Continuously seek ways to improve patient care processes and procedures.
- Perform medical procedures and assist with patient examinations as needed.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in medical assisting.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Certification: Candidates For A Lead Medical Assistant Position At Mainehealth Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Medical Assistant From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcare Association (Nha).
Experience: Applicants Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Healthcare Setting, With At Least 1 Year Of Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Knowledge Of Medical Procedures: Lead Medical Assistants At Mainehealth Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Medical Procedures And Terminology, Including Experience With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Medical Coding.
Leadership Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For The Medical Assistant Team, Candidates Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Communicate Effectively, And Provide Guidance And Support To Team Members.
Patient Care Experience: Mainehealth Places A Strong Emphasis On Patient Care And Satisfaction. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Providing Compassionate And High-Quality Patient Care, As Well As Excellent Customer Service Skills.
