  1. Provide comprehensive care to patients with mental health disorders through the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  2. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health conditions.
  3. Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and provide appropriate interventions and referrals.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Administer medication and provide education to patients and their families on medication management.
  6. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address the emotional and psychological needs of patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  9. Collaborate with community resources to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  10. Stay current with advancements in the field of mental health and implement evidence-based practices.
  11. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of care.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate and patient-centered care.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  14. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
  15. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn And Aprn Licensure In The State Of Maine, With A Specialization In Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.

  • Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Program, With A Focus On Psychiatric Nursing And/Or Mental Health.

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In An Inpatient Psychiatric Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Psychiatric Diagnoses, Treatments, And Medications.

  • Certification As A Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Pmhnp) From A Recognized National Certification Body, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients With Diverse Backgrounds And Needs.
