  1. Accurately prepare and dispense medications for infusion therapy, following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe handling of medications.
  3. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to patients.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking of medications and supplies.
  5. Maintain patient records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality and privacy policies.
  6. Verify and update patient insurance information to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent medication errors and ensure patient safety.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on industry developments and advancements in infusion pharmacy.
  10. Assist with quality assurance initiatives and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to provide optimal care and promote positive outcomes.
  13. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  14. Adhere to all Mainehealth policies and procedures, including those related to patient care and safety, confidentiality, and code of conduct.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Pharmacy Technician At Mainehealth Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Basic Proficiency In Math, Science, And Communication Skills.

  • Certification: A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification From An Accredited Program Is Preferred. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of A Pharmacy Technician.

  • Experience: Previous Experience Working In An Infusion Pharmacy Or Hospital Setting Is Highly Desirable. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations And Their Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment.

  • Attention To Detail: Infusion Medication Requires Precise Measurements And Calculations, Making Attention To Detail A Critical Qualification For A Pharmacy Technician. Candidates Must Have A Strong Eye For Detail And Be Able To Accurately Follow Instructions To Ensure Patient Safety.

  • Communication Skills: Pharmacy Technicians At Mainehealth Are Required To Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role To Ensure Accurate Information Is Relayed And Understood.
