Hospice House Aide (CNA)- Sussman House

We are currently seeking a dedicated Hospice House Aide (CNA) to join our team and help us fulfill our mission of providing comfort and support to those in need. 1. Provide compassionate and holistic care to hospice patients and their families at Sussman House.
2. Serve as a supportive and comforting presence for patients and their loved ones during the end-of-life process.
3. Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
4. Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant patient information.
5. Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
6. Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance.
7. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and their families.
9. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their loved ones.
10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
11. Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
12. Attend training and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to hospice care.
13. Adhere to all regulations and guidelines for infection control and safety.
14. Respect and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
15. Uphold the mission and values of Sussman House and Mainehealth.
