
Employment Specialist - Vocational Services

- Develop and implement effective strategies to assist individuals with disabilities in finding suitable employment opportunities.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine individuals' vocational skills, interests, and abilities.
- Collaborate with community organizations, businesses, and other resources to identify job opportunities and establish partnerships.
- Provide individualized support and counseling to clients throughout the employment process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and employment outcomes.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients on job search techniques, resume building, and interview skills.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate job placements and ensure client success.
- Stay updated on current employment trends, laws, and regulations related to vocational services.
- Advocate for clients' rights and accommodations in the workplace.
- Collaborate with other members of the Vocational Services team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to client care.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on program development and improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and their information.
- Serve as a positive role model and represent Mainehealth with integrity and professionalism.
- Continuously evaluate and improve services to ensure the highest level of quality and client satisfaction.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in vocational services.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vocational Counseling Or Employment Services.
Knowledge Of Local And State Resources For Job Training And Placement.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work With A Diverse Population.
Familiarity With Disability Accommodations And Vocational Rehabilitation Processes.
