Job Description

As an Education Coordinator, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs for our nursing staff, ensuring the highest level of patient care.   1. Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  2. Coordinate and manage educational activities and resources for the Nursing Department.
  3. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and develop strategies to meet them.
  4. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of educators to assist with program delivery.
  5. Create and maintain a curriculum that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  6. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing education.
  8. Communicate with nursing staff to promote and encourage participation in educational programs.
  9. Monitor and track staff participation and progress in educational programs.
  10. Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in nursing education to continuously improve program offerings.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to provide a diverse range of educational opportunities.
  12. Manage the budget for educational programs and resources.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions to facilitate ongoing education for nursing staff.
  14. Serve as a resource for nursing staff to address questions and concerns related to educational programs.
  15. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for nursing staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Will Ensure That They Have A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices.

  • Experience In Nursing Education: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Nursing Education Is Required For This Role. This Could Include Experience As A Clinical Instructor, Nurse Educator, Or Similar Role.

  • Nursing License: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Nursing License In The State Of Maine. This License Should Be In Good Standing With No Disciplinary Actions.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Education Coordinator Will Be Responsible For Communicating With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders, Including Nursing Staff, Students, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Organizational And Leadership Skills: The Education Coordinator Will Be Responsible For Managing And Coordinating Various Educational Programs And Activities. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Strong Organizational And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage These Tasks.
