- Administer Anesthesia: The main responsibility of this role is to administer various types of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor Patients: The CRNA will be responsible for closely monitoring patients throughout procedures to ensure their vital signs and anesthesia levels are stable and appropriate.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: This individual will work closely with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement anesthesia plans, and to ensure seamless and safe patient care.
- Educate Patients: The CRNA will be responsible for educating patients on the anesthesia process, potential risks and side effects, and post-procedure care instructions.
- Stay Up-to-Date on Anesthesia Techniques: As a critical part of the Anesthesiology team, the CRNA must stay current on the latest anesthesia techniques, technologies, and protocols to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Maintain Patient Records: Accurate and detailed documentation of patient information, anesthesia plans, and procedures is essential in this role.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: The CRNA will follow all safety protocols and standards to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and themselves.
- Assist with Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency, the CRNA will be responsible for administering emergency treatments and maintaining the patient's stability until further medical assistance is available.

- Continuously Improve and Grow: This role requires a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, including attending conferences, workshops, and staying up-to-date on industry advancements.
Valid State Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid License To Practice As A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Crna) In The State Of Maine.
Relevant Education And Training: The Candidate Must Have A Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Anesthesiology. They Should Also Have Completed A Crna Program Accredited By The Council On Accreditation Of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (Coa).
National Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current Certification From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna).
Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Crna In A Hospital Setting. Experience In Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Or Pain Management May Also Be Preferred.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And The Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team. They Should Also Be Able To Adapt To A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Work Environment.
