Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Clinician to join our team at Mainehealth as an Outpatient Autism and Developmental Disorders specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of individuals with autism and developmental disorders, providing comprehensive and compassionate care.   1. Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of individuals with autism and developmental disorders.
  2. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
  3. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address behavioral, social, and emotional challenges associated with autism and developmental disorders.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, psychologists, and special education professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  5. Stay current with research and best practices in the field of autism and developmental disorders to continually improve treatment approaches.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
  7. Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to effectively manage symptoms and promote overall well-being.
  8. Utilize a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach when working with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  9. Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment plans, progress, and any necessary adjustments.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  11. Continuously advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with autism and developmental disorders.
  12. Foster a positive and supportive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication.
  13. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  14. Represent the organization and promote awareness of autism and developmental disorders in the community.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest level of ethical standards in all interactions with patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or A Related Field.

  • Licensed Or Eligible For Licensure In The State Of Maine As A Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Or Licensed Professional Counselor.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Providing Clinical Services To Individuals With Autism And Developmental Disorders In An Outpatient Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Interventions For Autism And Developmental Disorders, Such As Applied Behavior Analysis (Aba) And Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (Cbt).

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Support To Families Of Individuals With Autism And Developmental Disorders.
