  1. Assist healthcare team in providing high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  2. Perform basic patient care tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and monitoring patient conditions.
  3. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their time in the Emergency Department.
  4. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Emergency Department.
  6. Monitor and document patient information, such as changes in condition and medications administered.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  8. Assist with transporting patients to and from procedures, tests, and other departments.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive patient experience.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve knowledge and skills as a CNA – ED Tech.
  11. Respect and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Demonstrate a strong sense of empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  13. Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment by working well with others and communicating effectively.
  14. Adapt to and work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  15. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification As A Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) In The State Of Maine.

  • Completion Of An Accredited Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Program.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Cna Or Ed Tech In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Setting.

  • Bls Certification And Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team In A High-Stress Environment.
