
Central Clinical Pharmacist - Inventory Management

- Manage medication inventory across all healthcare facilities within the Mainehealth system.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure an adequate supply of medications at all times.
- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve inventory management issues.
- Conduct regular audits of medication inventory to identify discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Utilize technology and systems to track and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a safe and organized storage and dispensing system for medications.
- Work closely with pharmaceutical representatives to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of medications.
- Train and educate pharmacy staff on inventory management policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in medication inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and healthcare facilities to coordinate inventory needs and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to medication inventory management.
- Collaborate with finance and billing departments to accurately track and report medication usage and costs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication inventory management processes.
- Provide support and assistance to other pharmacy staff as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Unrestricted License To Practice Pharmacy In The State Of Maine.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Clinical Pharmacy, Preferably In Inventory Management.
Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Inventory Management Systems, And Regulatory Requirements.
