Welcome to Mainehealth! We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Centering Pregnancy Coordinator to join our team. As the coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their families. In this role, you will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to facilitate group prenatal care sessions and provide individualized support to pregnant women.   1. Coordinate and facilitate group prenatal care sessions for expectant mothers, including scheduling and organizing group meetings, preparing educational materials, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  2. Provide individualized support and counseling to pregnant women, including addressing any concerns or questions they may have about their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for expectant mothers and their families.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and resources to support the overall health and well-being of pregnant women.
  5. Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in maternal and child health to inform and enhance the group prenatal care program.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient information and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  7. Communicate effectively with expectant mothers and their families to provide information and guidance on prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care.
  8. Assist in the recruitment and enrollment of pregnant women into the group prenatal care program.
  9. Participate in team meetings and trainings to continuously improve the group prenatal care program and ensure high-quality care for patients.
  10. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  11. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the group prenatal care program and make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  14. Represent Mainehealth and the group prenatal care program at community events and meetings to raise awareness and promote services.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth to enhance job performance and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field: A Centering Pregnancy Coordinator Must Have A Strong Foundation In Nursing Or A Related Field To Effectively Coordinate And Lead Group Prenatal Care Sessions.

  • Previous Experience In Coordinating Or Facilitating Group Sessions: Experience In Leading Group Sessions, Such As Childbirth Education Classes Or Support Groups, Is Essential For A Centering Pregnancy Coordinator To Effectively Facilitate The Group Prenatal Care Model.

  • Knowledge Of Pregnancy And Childbirth: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Pregnancy And Childbirth, Including Potential Complications, To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of The Pregnant Women In The Program.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Centering Pregnancy Coordinator, Effective Communication With Pregnant Women, Their Families, And Healthcare Providers Is Crucial. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Foster A Supportive And Inclusive Group Dynamic.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records Systems: Mainehealth Uses Electronic Medical Records Systems To Document And Track Patient Care. A Centering Pregnancy Coordinator Should Be Comfortable Using These Systems And Be Able To Navigate And Input Patient Information Accurately.
