- Repair and maintain all biomedical equipment in a timely and effective manner, following industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on all medical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to determine the best course of action.
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including detailed documentation of work performed and replacement parts used.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper and efficient use of medical equipment, and provide guidance and training when needed.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the biomedical field, and make recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on equipment, and report any potential hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory and stock of necessary equipment parts and supplies, and assist with procurement and budgeting processes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance schedules, and provide timely updates on completed tasks.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety, and strive to continuously improve the quality of our healthcare services through efficient and effective equipment maintenance.
Education: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. A Bachelor's Degree Is Preferred.
Certification: Candidates Must Possess Certification From The International Certification Commission For Clinical Engineering And Biomedical Technology (Icc) Or The Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Certification From The Association For The Advancement Of Medical Instrumentation (Aami).
Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Biomedical Equipment Technician, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. Experience With A Variety Of Medical Equipment, Such As Imaging Systems, Patient Monitoring, And Diagnostic Equipment, Is Highly Desired.
Technical Skills: This Position Requires Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Troubleshoot, Repair, And Maintain Complex Medical Equipment. Knowledge Of Electrical And Mechanical Systems, As Well As Computer Hardware And Software, Is Essential.
Communication And Teamwork: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Work Collaboratively As Part Of A Team, Is Crucial For This Role. The Successful Candidate Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Work Independently.
