- Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Assist anesthesiologists and nurses in administering anesthesia to patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate records of anesthesia equipment and supplies used.
- Follow strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on anesthesia techniques and procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Assist with patient positioning and transport to and from the operating room.

- Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the anesthesia team and the hospital.
Education And Certification: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required, Along With A Certificate Or Associate's Degree In Anesthesia Technology From An Accredited Program. Candidates Must Also Hold Current Certification As An Anesthesia Technician (Cer.a.t.) From The American Society Of Anesthesia Technologists And Technicians (Asatt).
Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of All Equipment Used In Anesthesia Procedures, Including Anesthesia Machines, Monitors, And Ventilators. They Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot And Maintain This Equipment.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Preferred For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Be Familiar With Hospital Protocols And Procedures.
Attention To Detail: Anesthesia Technicians Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures To Ensure Patient Safety. They Should Also Have Excellent Organizational Skills And Be Able To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Communication And Teamwork: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Anesthesia Technicians Must Work Closely With Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, And Other Medical Staff. Candidates Should Also Be Able To Work Well As Part Of A Team And Be Comfortable Taking Direction From Others.
