1. Provide high-quality care to patients with mental health needs in an outpatient setting.
2. Utilize knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
5. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
6. Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
9. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in mental health nursing.
10. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, and provide emotional support when needed.
11. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
