  1. Provide high-quality mental health services to adult patients in an outpatient setting.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  4. Prescribe and manage medication as necessary for the treatment of mental health disorders.
  5. Monitor and track patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  7. Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the practice of psychiatry.
  9. Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
  10. Continuously stay updated on current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of psychiatry.
  11. Maintain a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards patients and their mental health struggles.
  12. Foster a supportive and collaborative environment with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Provide guidance and supervision to other mental health professionals, such as therapists and counselors.
  14. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and staff.
  16. Continuously work towards improving the quality of care and services provided to patients.
  17. Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  18. Act as an advocate for the mental health needs of patients within the community.
  19. Comply with all regulatory and licensing requirements for the practice of psychiatry.
  20. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Mainehealth in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Psychiatry From The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology.

  • A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Of Maine.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Psychiatrist In An Outpatient Setting.

  • Strong Diagnostic And Treatment Skills, Including Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
