- Perform surgical procedures related to the treatment of vascular diseases and disorders, including but not limited to endovascular surgery, open surgery, and minimally invasive procedures
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop treatment plans based on individual needs and medical history
- Monitor and manage post-operative care and provide follow-up care for patients
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure high-quality and comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in vascular surgery and incorporate them into practice
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the treatment process
- Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills
- Contribute to the growth and success of the vascular surgery department through active involvement in quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
Medical Degree: A Vascular Surgeon At Mainegeneral Health Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Vascular Surgery, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.
Residency And Fellowship Training: A Minimum Of Five Years Of Residency Training In General Surgery, As Well As An Additional Two To Three Years Of Fellowship Training In Vascular Surgery, Is Required.
State Licensure: All Candidates Must Possess A Current And Valid Medical License In The State Of Maine.
Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of Three To Five Years Of Experience In Vascular Surgery, With A Strong Track Record Of Successful Procedures And Patient Outcomes.
