Technician - General Maintenance

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various equipment and systems, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building structures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems, and make necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed and equipment inventory.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and delegate tasks.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies related to maintenance and repair.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Follow all established policies and procedures of MaineGeneral Health.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Prior Experience In General Maintenance: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Building Systems And Equipment: A Strong Understanding Of Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Other Building Systems Is Essential For This Role.
Ability To Troubleshoot And Problem Solve: Technicians Should Be Able To Identify And Resolve Issues In A Timely And Efficient Manner To Ensure Minimal Disruption To Operations.
Familiarity With Safety Protocols: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Osha Regulations And Other Safety Protocols To Ensure A Safe Work Environment For Themselves And Others.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: This Role Requires Interacting With A Variety Of Individuals, Including Patients, Staff, And Vendors. Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Necessary For Effective Collaboration And Problem-Solving.
