Sterile Processing & Distribution Coordinator

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Sterile Processing & Distribution (SPD) Coordinator to manage all SPD operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The SPD Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all staff are properly trained in the proper techniques for decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of sterile products. The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a commitment to quality, and a passion for helping others. To be successful in this role, the SPD Coordinator must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in sterile processing and/or distribution. Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred. The SPD Coordinator must also have knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization techniques. Additionally, the SPD Coordinator must be able to work well with other departments and collaborate to provide the best possible patient care.
