
Social Worker (LSW) - Community Care Team
MaineGeneral Health is searching for an experienced and compassionate Licensed Social Worker (LSW) to join our Community Care Team. Our team of dedicated professionals provides individualized support to patients and their families. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of social work principles and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.This vital role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to think critically and make decisions in a timely manner. The LSW will be responsible for providing counseling and intervention services to patients and their families, assessing needs, and developing and implementing plans of care. The LSW will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field, and be licensed in the state of Maine. Previous experience as a Social Worker is preferred, but not required. Applicants must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing quality patient care. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities:

Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Bachelor’s Degree In Social Work
Current Licensure As A Licensed Social Worker In The State Of Maine
Knowledge Of Community Resources And The Ability To Make Referrals When Necessary
Working Knowledge Of The Dsm-V Diagnostic Criteria
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Two Years Of Clinical Experience Working With Individuals And Families In A Community Setting
