
Sleep Lab- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients undergoing sleep studies.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during sleep studies.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology to conduct sleep studies and record data accurately.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Attend required training and education sessions to maintain CNA certification and stay updated on best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to MaineGeneral Health's policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Current Cna Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current Cna Certification From The State Of Maine.
Experience In Sleep Lab: Previous Experience Working In A Sleep Lab Or A Similar Setting Is Preferred. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Familiarity With The Equipment And Procedures Used In A Sleep Lab.
Knowledge Of Sleep Disorders: A Strong Understanding Of Common Sleep Disorders And Treatment Options Is Important For A Cna Working In A Sleep Lab. This Knowledge Can Come From Previous Work Experience Or Specialized Training.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Cna, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Doctors, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role.
Ability To Work Night Shifts: Sleep Labs Typically Operate During Overnight Hours, So The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Night Shifts And Have A Flexible Schedule. This May Also Include Weekends And Holidays.
